Professional Development for Pharmacists
Pharmacists are expected to maintain their competency through continuing professional development based on provincial licencing requirements. Many learning portfolios include non-accredited hours, which can include any learning activity or online course that relates to pharmacy practice.
RESPTREC online courses can be considered evidence-based, relevant, non-accredited learning hours within continuing professional development portfolios. Allocated learning hours are as follows:
- Education for Chronic Disease Course – up to 20 hours
- Asthma Course – up to 20 hours
- COPD Course – up to 20 hours
- IPF Course – up to 15 hours
- Severe Asthma Course – up to 10 hours
- Inhaled Delivery Device Course – up to 10 hours
Following successful completion of each course, a downloadable diploma will be generated and located in the RESPTREC learning centre.
